（*如洞庭湖可譯為Dongting Lake或Lake Dongting。而如果是太湖，因?yàn)閷?zhuān)名Tai是單音節(jié)詞，所以根據(jù)規(guī)則需譯成Taihu Lake，也可譯為L(zhǎng)ake Taihu。）（*Falls指大型的瀑布，這個(gè)詞不可用于人工景觀。此外應(yīng)注意“s”不能丟。）Gorge指深且狹的溝壑，一般有河流經(jīng)過(guò)。Canyon往往有陡巖峭壁。
